Studio Pilates Mix

A full body Pilates workout guaranteed to work your powerhouse a.k.a. core. In this sampler class you’ll learn the basics with a combination of mat and equipment work in the Pilates Studio. Connect with your body and gain a strong foundation to progress into Tower or Reformer classes.

Gain flexible strength for better posture and improved performance, using top-of-the-line Gratz equipment including the reformer, wall unit, chair, or other Pilates apparatus. You’ll get an introduction to equipment set up, safety, exercise order, and Pilates principles; a great place to start for anyone who is interested in working with a coach in the Pilates Studio.

What you’re working

What to expect
During this non-impact workout, we’ll cover common terminology and methodology in order to increase your level of confidence and ease working in the Studio. Class begins with mat work followed by a sampling of exercises on the equipment to improve balance and coordination leading to grace in everyday activities.

What to wear
Comfortable workout attire (nothing too loose) allowing the instructor to see your body alignment for proper correction. Please do not wear clothes with zippers or buttons on the backside as you will be moving while on your back. Your choice of bare feet or socks.
