Pilates is a non-impact, joint friendly training method uniting mind and body toward the goal of overall fitness. In Pilates all movements are initiated from the core with proper body alignment. While one muscle group is actively stretched, another is strengthened, addressing both tight and weak areas. Pilates benefits people at all ages and fitness levels; regardless of your physical ability, it teaches you a way of life: you stand taller, you sleep better, you grow stronger, and you’re more in control of your body.

What to expect
In this class you’ll identify and confront imbalances within your body. Expect to create space in your joints, lengthen your spine, and learn to move more efficiently. Maximize benefits by attending regularly. Patience required; it may take a few classes to activate the proper muscles as you practice a dynamic breathing pattern.

What to wear
Comfortable workout attire (nothing loose) allowing the instructor to see your body alignment during work for proper correction. Your choice of bare feet or socks.
