Bulgarian Bags

Build core stability, strength, and endurance though dynamic movements with this unique tool. A 60 minute athletic workout that will activate muscles you didn’t know existed.

The Bulgarian Bag is a specialized training and conditioning tool made of leather stuffed with wool and sand. The shape allows for both upper and lower body training while emphasizing grip strength through three different types of handles. It is easy to learn, but difficult to master. The Bag helps competitive athletes to novice fitness enthusiasts and everyone in between become more movement aware and physically efficient. Incorporating Bulgarian Bag training into your existing resistance training program can help you overcome plateaus and elevate your level of fitness- you’ll excel in the sport, game, or activity you love.

What you’re working

What to expect
Whether you are new to exercise or you have been athletically conditioned for years, you will get a great workout from attending a Bulgarian Bags class. Working with the Bag strengthens and increases the muscular endurance of the grip, wrists, arms, shoulders, back, legs, and rotational muscles. If you’ve never used this tool before, expect to experience a total body soreness up to a few days after class. It also aids in building core musculature, coordination, and improving overall shoulder and joint mobility. Everyone in attendance will gain a greater appreciation for the difficulty of this training method and simultaneously build camaraderie. You will have the option to make this a killer workout or a recovery between heavy training days. Be prepared to experiment with your physical and mental limits. Bring some water and an open mind to your first Bulgarian Bag session.
